Marcel Breuer is renowned for his tubular steel furniture. He first designed the Cesca Chair in 1928, a chair that continues to increase in popularity almost 100 years later.
This set of six Cesca carver chairs have been made under license by Italian Manufacturers Cidue. One chair contains a sticker marking this maker.
These chairs were produced in the 1970s and have wonderful marks of age which seem to make the chairs even more beautiful in a time where there are so many replicas of Breuer's designs on the market. Whilst some of the lacquer has chipped away, the rattan is firmly intact and the gold chrome has very minimal rust.
